Ordinary Angels Soundtrack

In 2007 I was asked to do the score for an amazing independent film called Ordinary Angels. The story line was unique, and something I thought was pretty amazing premise. The OA FAQ describes it like this:

"Ever seen The Shield or COPS? It's kind of a police drama shot in a cinéma vérité (hand-held documentary) style. But in this case, the cops are angels, and the mobsters are fallen angels."

One of the cues I wrote was for a very intense scene of a woman who is about to die, while the Angles wait by her side to take her spirit away with them. After recording the final version of cue that ended up in the movie, I realized that it also could work in a different context. So the version I have here is the "Deathbed Scene - Rock version."

In this version I added drums and "Edge-y" guitars to the mix, and replaced the acoustic piano with an electric piano instead. Other than that, the basic tracks are the same as the movie cue.

If you like the track, check out the Ordinary Angels website for more info about the film, to see the trailer or buy the DVD.
